How quickly will my order ship?
All orders are dispatched within 24 hours of receipt, with the exception of Saturday and Sunday.  Any orders received after 3pm EST on Friday or a Saturday or Sunday are dispatched Tuesday.

What if my merchandise is damaged in transit to me?
If your merchandise is damaged in transit, replacement product(s) will be sent to you at no additional shipping charge.  Knit Happens must be advised within 72 hours of receipt of any damaged merchandise by emailing shipping@knithappens.net.

Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship worldwide!  Check our shipping chart for costs.

For US orders, we use UPS Ground.   Please note that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.

For Rest of World orders we use the United States Post Office Airmail.  We do offer the option of USPS Air for Rest of World orders; for a quote after you place an order, please send an email to shipping@knithappens.net.  

You will receive an email confirming your order at the time it is placed, and a second email containing the shipping information when your order is ready to ship.  If you are in the US, this email will include a link to UPS so you can track your order. 

Returns

What happens if I have a return?
Please review the complete return policy for instructions on how to handle returns.

Can I return sales items,  books, patterns, needles, or magazines?
No, sale yarn, books, needles, magazines, pattern collections and single patterns are not returnable. 

Return Policy:  Unused yarn in the original condition may be returned, with original receipt, for a refund within 30 days of purchase.  Sale yarn, books, needles, magazines, pattern collections and single patterns are not returnable.  The customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning yarn.  Once we receive and process your return, you will receive an email advising you of the credit to your card used to make the purchase. 

If any merchandise you receive is damaged in transit, we will reimburse you for any shipping costs associated with returning the damaged merchandise, as well as sending out replacement merchandise at no additional charge.  We must be advised within 72 hours of receipt of any damaged merchandise.

All returns must include the following:

1. A copy of the receipt
2. Your shipping address
3. Your email address
4. Your phone number

We recommend insuring your returns for their full value as we are not responsible for packages damaged or lost in transit.

Any orders shipped to a Virginia address will be charged the Virginia 5% state sales tax. 

Other FAQ's

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa & MasterCard.

How do Gift Certificates work?
Unfortunately, we no longer offer the purchase of Gift Certificates online. However, we are happy to mail out Gift Certificates to the intended recipient! Just call us at the Retail Store and we'll take care of that for you. Gift Certificates are only good in the Retail Store. To use a Gift Certificate for a mail order, we must receive the Gift Certificate before the order will ship. 

Please keep in mind that gift certificates are NOT refundable!

Do I have to pay sales tax?
Any orders shipped to a Virginia address will be charged the Virginia 5% state sales tax. 

What if I want to do a special order?
Please email us at customerservice@knithappens.net with your special order information. Please do not include payment information until you receive confirmation of your order from us. 

What is the exchange rate? What exchange rate does Knit Happens use?
Knit Happens Online is located in the US and uses US Dollars for all transactions. For your convenience we offer a conversion tool you can use while shopping. This is an approximate guide and is not in any way connected or associated to the final total charged. 

What will appear on my credit card?
Your credit card will be charged in US Dollars. Your credit card statement will bill your in your card's currency, and should show you the amount in US Dollars that they converted from, based on the exchange rate at the time of the sale.

The exchange rate on my statement is different than the one I show at time of purchase, why?
Your total may be slightly different than the total you saw when completing purchase, since exchange rates are fluid. The exchange rate used by your bank may vary.

Privacy Policy

Knit Happens takes your privacy seriously!  We do not share our information with third parties.  All information is transmitted via our secure servers.   Cookies are used on our site to keep track of the items in your shopping basket.  The information we gather is used solely by us in order to develop our site, enhance your shopping experience, and to communicate special events and offers to you!
